Bryans Do Disney, Day 5: Magic Kingdom

This morning, we checked out of our hotel across from Universal Studios and headed to Disneyworld!

We got checked in at Animal Kingdom Lodge.  We have a savanna view from our room--we can actually see animals hanging out outside our room!

The girls love the bunk bed.

Then we hopped on the bus to head over to the Magic Kingdom.

We headed straight for Tony's Town Square Restaurant--it's based on the restaurant from Lady and the Tramp.  We got to the restaurant about fifteen minutes earlier than our reservation time, so the girls watched Lady and the Tramp that they had playing in the lobby and colored with a really sweet girl who works for Disney.  The girls ate all of their spaghetti and ice cream sundae.

We had to wait maybe ten minutes past our reservation time, so they gave us access to one free fast pass ride. We used it for Peter Pan's Flight.

We stopped in front of Cinderella's castle because the princesses and their princes were putting on a show.  The girls were so excited.  Harper told me she wanted to sing and dance with them.

Next we headed to Prince Charming's Carousel.

We rode the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride.  They had activities for the kids to do while waiting in line.  Genius!

We drove cars on the Tomorrowland Speedway.

Emory and Stephen rode a roller coaster that Harper was too short for

while she and I rode Dumbo's flying elephants.  They have a play area halfway through the waiting line.  You get a pager, the kids get to play, and they page you when it's your turn.  Super cool!

Then we rode the Mad Tea Party spinning teacups.

All four of us rode the Dumbo ride.

And then the girls met their first princess--Ariel!  They were so starstruck.  She was adorable.  She talked in character to each of the kids.  It was hilarious.  As soon as we walked away, Emory said, "I miss Ariel."  Precious.

The girls got to meet Tinkerbell.

Then we watched the Main Street Electrical Parade.

I asked the girls what their favorite part of the day was.  Emory said all the rides and Harper said the bus.  So there's that.

After that, it was time to go back to the resort for baths and bedtime!

The daily dose of Harper's fit throwing:

Happy five months, Sam!  We love and miss you so much.
